As we know that,

→ Area of a tile = Area of square

→ a × a

→ 10 × 10 = 100cm²

Now,

→ Area of kitchen = Area of rectangle

→ l × b

→ 170 × 100

→ 17000 cm²

Number of tiles needed in kitchen

→ Area of kitchen/Area of a tile

→ 17000/100

→ 170 tiles
