Ethics and values are nothing but the behaviour and attitude a person holds towards a situation. It differs from person to person and situation to situation. What is ethicaly right for a person may not be right for another.

Ethics and values are very personal. One has to be totally convinced about their beliefs, so if it were me, this is what I would say.

If I say I am honest, most would say, why - it holds no value in today's day and age? If I say that I believe in the truth, I would be told that real truth does not exist, it's just my understanding of it. I also say that for me, right and wrong exist and I would be told - it's all perception. What I consider wrong, may not be even be a blip for someone else.

So what values do I stand for? I still stand for what I think is true, honest and right. I value honesty, because I have to face myself. I believe in integrity - because it's too easy to pretend and be otherwise. Life is more fun if there is challenge and adventure. There is a right and a wrong, but we find ways to justify (perception), because it's too difficult to go with what's right. But this is what I believe.

Each person finds their own values and principles - but the challenge is to stick to them. It doesn't mean inflexibility, but conviction. So, if you are to give a speech, on values & ethics, I hope you are convinced enough to talk about them, live by them and standby them.

Good luck :-)
