The Internet is a great tool in the right hands. It has been our savior in many instances. However, with the addition of new technologies; Internet has been highly misused.Here are few of the disadvantages of using the Internet:
1. Cyber harassment where the victim is usually bullied online.
2.Hacking a website of an organization or even the government is quite common now.
3.Piracy is another issue that people had to deal with since the advent of the internet. Piracy involves downloading copyrighted information.
4. Health issues in case of extensive usage of Internet
5.Identity theft which includes stealing user credentials which can then be used in various places such as ATM, banks.

Internet is the most useful thing of this era without which progress is impossible. But most of the people are using internet in wrong way by which they not only waste their precious time and money too. Researches have proved that on average every person wastes two to three hours on internet. Watching porn is also a big misuse of internet through which youth is destroying their health, wealth and precious time. Hacking and wrong use of others personal data is big crime through internet.
