1. Mixtures of sand + water and milk + water are both heterogeneous mixtures, although, the mixture of sand+ water is considered as unstable and that of milk+ water is considered as stable. Why?​

Answer:

sand+ water is considered as unstable as it is suspension. The sand settles at bottom and can clearly be seen but milk+ water is considered stable because it is colliadal solution . It mixes such that it appears homogeneous but it is considered hetrogeneous because it can scatter the light.
