Answer :

sacrifice ratio of old partners = 1 : 2

Explanation :

ratio of profits and losses of mohan and madan = 4:3

share of mohan = 4/7

share of murali = 3/7

ratio of profits and losses of mohan, madan and murali respectively = 7:4:3

new share of mohan = 7/14

new share of madan = 4/14

new share of murali = 3/14

sacrifice in their share

  • for mohan = old share - new share

= 4/7 - 7/14

= 1/14

  • for madan = 3/7 - 4/14

= 2/14

ratio of the sacrifice of the old partners = 1/14 ÷ 2/14

= 1:2

Hope it helps

Answer:

The sacrifice ratio of Mohan and Madan = 1 : 2

Explanation:

Solution :

Old Ratio :

Mohan : Madan = 4 : 3

  • Mohan's Share = 4/7
  • Madan's Share = 3/7

They admit Murali into partnership.

The new profit sharing ratio is agreed at 7:4:3 respectively.

New Profit Sharing Ratio :

Mohan : Madan : Murali = 7 : 4 : 3

  • Mohan's New Share = 7/14
  • Madan's New Share = 4/14
  • Murali's New Share = 3/14

Sacrifice Ratio :

Sacrifice Ratio = Old Ratio - New Ratio

Mohan's Sacrifice =

⇒ 4/7 - 7/14 = (8 - 7)/14

1/14

Madan's Sacrifice =

⇒ 3/7 - 4/14 = (6 - 4)/14

2/14

Sacrifice Ratio =

  • Mohan : Madan
  • 1/14 : 2/14

1 : 2

Therefore, the sacrifice ratio of Mohan and Madan = 1 : 2
