(i) No, it was wrong, The bulb of the thermometer must dip in the liquid. <br> (ii) If the beaker is in direct contact with the flame, it might crack. <br> (iii) Teacher guided the student properly. By direct heating, an accident could occur and could cause serious injuries to the student. <br> (iv) In the laboratory or in the kitchan, we should never heat glass beakers or containers directly on the flame. These are likely to crack. However, Borocil beakers can be heated on direct flame.
