Given:

1 Mole of Ammonia which is 17g.

To Find:

Weight of 0.3 moles of Ammonia.

Procedure:

1. It is given that 1 mole of ammonia weighs 17g.

2. The compound formula of ammonia is given by NH3.(N- Nitrogen H- Hydrogen).

3. Mass of Nitrogen and hydrogen are 14 and 1 atomic mass unit respectively.

4. 1 mole of ammonia i.e, NH3 is 17g (mass of nitrogen + 3*mass of hydrogen)

=> 14+3*1=17g

5. Since 1 mole of NH3 weights 17grams, 0.3 moles of the compound contains mass 17*(0.3).

=>  Mass of 0.3 moles of ammonia is 17*(0.3)

=>17*(0.3) = 5.1 grams.

Therefore, the mass of 0.3 moles of ammonia is 5.1g.
