For Number (1) :-

We have :-

→ Speed for 1st trip (v₁) = 50 km/h

→ Speed for 2nd trip (v₂) = 60 km/h

________________________________

Here, Mr.X drives to school in his 1st trip and returns from the school through same route in 2nd trip.

As distance travelled by Mr.X in both cases is same, so his average speed for entire trip will be :-

V = 2vv/(v + v)

⇒ Vₐᵥ = 2(50)(60)/(50 + 60)

⇒ Vₐᵥ = 6000/110

V = 54.54 km/h

For Number (2) :-

We have :-

→ Mass of the body (m) = 500 g = 0.5 kg

→ Velocity (v) = 120 m/s

To find :-

→ Momentum of the body (p) .

________________________________

Putting values in the formula of momentum, we get the answer as :-

p = m × v

⇒ p = 0.5 × 120

p = 60 kg m/s

  1. Mr.X is driving to school to computes the average speed for his trip to be 50km/hr and on his return trip along the same route the average speed is 60km/hr .What is the average speed of his entire trip.

 \sf\tt\large{\red {\underline  {\underline{⚘\;Answer:}}}}

  • V _{a}v = 54.54km \: per \: hour

 \sf\tt\large{\blue {\underline  {\underline{⚘\;Solution:}}}}

  • Here , we should use the formula that is ,

average \: distance =  \frac{totl.distance}{time \: taken}

  • From this we get the answer to the solution.
  • Here the entire formula according to the given question is given below.

  • Let, calculate by applying all the values,

V _{a}v =  \frac{2v1v2}{v1 + v2}

  • vav =  \frac{2 \times 50 \times 60}{50 + 60}  =  \frac{6000}{110}  = 54.54km \: per \: hour

 \sf\tt\large{\green {\underline {\underline{⚘\;The \;average\;speed \;of \; entire\;trip \;is \;54.54km/hr:}}}}

  • Find the momentum of body of mass 500 gm when moving with 120 m /sec in SI unit.

 \sf\tt\large{\green {\underline {\underline{⚘\;Solution:}}}}

  • Here,
  • Mass of the given body 500g=0.5kg

  • P=m×v
  • Now applying all the values we get that,

  • P=0.5×120
  • P=60kg m/s.
