- FUNDAMENTAL LAW THAT EVERY EQUATION MUST FULFILL:
- It should represent true chemical change.
- It should be balanced.
for example:
2H2S + SO2 ------ 2H2O + 3S
3. It should be molecular.
- Chemical equation : It can be defined as a brief representation of a chemical change in terms of symbols and formulae of substances involved in it.
- Balancing of chemical equation :
- It means making an each element on the left hand side equal to number of atoms on the right hand side.
- It is based on law of conservation of mass.
- There are 3 methods of balancing an equation.
- Hit / trial method
- partial equation method
- oxidation / reduction method.....
- Chemical equation must be balanced beacause THE LAW OF CONSERVATION OF MATTER must be hold good during a chemical equation. Balancing of equation is necessary because are neither created nor destroyed during a chemical equation.
hope it may help u!!!!!!!
