Red soil

* Due to iron composition these soils are red in colour.

* these are formed by weathering 9f ancient metamorphic rocks of deccan pleateu.

they are found in Tamil nadu,andra pardesh, chhatisgarh,karnataka,maharashtra.

Black soil

* these soil are made up of volcanic rock and lava flow

* it consists of lime,iron magnesium,also protesh.

they are found in maharashtra,Gujarat,mp,andra Pradesh, and Tamil nadu.

Alluvial soil

* these soil are formed by the deposition of sediments brought by rivers.

* they are rich in humus and very fertile.

they are found in great northern plain lower valley of narmada ,and northern Gujarat.

laterite soil

* these soil are formed due to intense kaching.

* these soils are well developed on summits of hills

they are found in kerala,Tamil nadu,maharashtra.
