1) Winnowing:- The separation of the grains from the husk. The grains are being heavier, fall straight to the ground while the light husk and hay are blown a little farther away by the action of wind. Winnowing is also done by a Winnowing machine.

2) Magnetic separation:- Magnetic separation is the procedure of splitting elements of mixtures with the help of magnets to adhere magnetic materials.

3) Ferromagnetic:- Materials that are strongly attracted towards magnets are called ferromagnetic. Examples:- iron, nickel etc.
