Answer:

(1) In smallest to largest system: Mercury (smallest) ; Mars ; Venus ; Earth ; Neptune ; Uranus ; Saturn ; Jupiter ( largest).

(2)In our Solar System, there are eight planets. The planets in order from the Sun based on their distance are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Many still consider Pluto as a planet to this day.

(3)Planet Earth has been called the "Blue Planet" due to the abundant water on its surface. Here on Earth, we take liquid water for granted; after all, our bodies are mostly made of water.

(4) Unlike stars, planets don't twinkle. Stars are so distant that they appear as pinpoints of light in the night sky, even when viewed through a telescope. Because all the light is coming from a single point, its path is highly susceptible to atmospheric interference (i.e. their light is easily diffracted).

LONG ANSWER:-

(1)Compared with the billions of other stars in the universe, the sun is unremarkable. But for Earth and the other planets that revolve around it, the sun is a powerful center of attention. It holds the solar system together; provides life-giving light, heat, and energy to Earth; and generates space weather.

(2)To enable life, this most special of attributes, planet Earth has a number of ideal features. It is unique among planets in our solar system for having water in its liquid form at the surface, in an amount conducive to life evolving.

(3)write at least one characteristics of each planet

  • Mercury is named after the messenger of the gods of ancient Rome.
  • Venus it is the brightest planet in the sky.
  • Earth is the only planet known to have living things.
  • Mars the planet Mars is similar to earth in some ways.
  • Jupiter is the biggest of all the planets.

(4)The phases of the Moon are the different ways the Moon looks from Earth over about a month. As the Moon orbits around the Earth, the half of the Moon that faces the Sun will be lit up. The different shapes of the lit portion of the Moon that can be seen from Earth are known as phases of the Moon.
