Answer:

1. philosopher Kanad

The Indian philosopher Kanad (600 BC) was of the view that matter was composed of very small, indivisible particle called “parmanus”.

2. But when it comes to the word atom, we have to go to ancient Greece of 400 B.C. And there was a brilliant philosopher named Democritus, and he proposed the Greek word atomos, which means uncuttable. And so as he explained, all matter was eventually reducible to discrete, small particles or atomos.

3. Russian chemist Dimitri Mendeleev first used this nomenclature to fill in the gaps in his early periodic table, so element number 32 was known as eka-silicon until it was discovered and named germanium in 1886. Similarly, rhenium was known as dvi-manganese until 1926.

Hope it helps.

Please follow.

Please thanks.
