1. muscular tissue

The tissue responsible for movement in our body is themuscular tissue. Structurally, muscular tissue are elongated and are made up of several fibres of musclecells.

2. Neurons have a large number of extensions called dendrites. They often looklikes branches or spikes extending out from the cell body. It is primarily the surfaces of the dendrites that receive chemical messages from other neurons.

3. Cardiac muscles are involuntary muscles. They are involved in continuous rhythmic contraction and relaxation.

Cardiomyocytes or the cardiac cells are uninucleate, cylindrical, and elongated.

Cardiac muscles display faint cross-striations which do not get fatigued under normal circumstances.

4. Function. Areolar connective tissue holds organs in place and attaches epithelial tissue to other underlying tissues. It also serves as a reservoir of water and salts for surrounding tissues. Almost all cells obtain their nutrientsfrom and release their wastes into areolar connective tissue.
