Given info : a new system of units, fundamental unit of mass, length and time are 100 gm, 20 cm and 2 second respectively.

To find : the numerical value of 15 Pascal in the new system is ...

solution : dimensions of pressure = M¹L¯¹T¯²

so, pressure unit in new system = (100gm)¹ (20cm)¯¹ × (2 sec)¯² = (1/10 kg)/{ (20/100 m) × (2 sec)²}

= (1/10)/(4/5) N/m²

= 1/8 Pascal [ because 1 N/m² = 1 Pascal ]

so, 15 Pascal in new system = 15 Pascal/(1/8 Pascal) = 120

Therefore the numerical value of 15 Pascal in the new system is 120
