On observing the unit digits, 4836 appears to be a perfect square number as

  • we get, 6 as unit digit if 4 or 6 is squared.

But,

  • 4836 = 2 × 2 × 3 × 13 × 31

The number actually is not a perfect square as we didn't obtain paired numbers (like 2's) in its prime factorisation.
