1 % solution means 1 gram of Ca(NO3)2 in 100 gram of water.
10 gram of Ca(NO3)2 in 1000 g/1 kg of water.
So, the molality of solution would be : Moles of Ca(NO3)2 /solvent in kg.
Moles of Ca(NO3)2 is : Given mass/Molar mass of Ca(NO3)2
= 10 g /164 g mol-1
= 0.06 mole
So the molality of solution is 0.06 m
Now we will use the given formula to calculate freezing point depression(∆Tf)
