But alas they had no choice
And the crass cacophony
Blared out from the sumac tree

A) why did they have no choice?

2. So the frog and the nightingale
journeyed up and down the scale
For six hours till she was shivering
And her voice was hoarse and quivering

Heya friend,
here is it:

A. The other creatures in the Bingle Bog had no choice other than to listen to the frog's song because despite of their resentment which they showed by throwing sticks, pebbles and bricks on him, he being a stubborn creature did not listen to their pleads and kept on singing from dusk till dawn.

B. The frog being a clever and pretentious creature pretended to be a great singer in front of the nightangle. Inspired by this the nightangle started taking classes from the frog and the frog in order to put her more down he asked her to practice for six hours.

Thank you!!!
Hope all your doubts are cleared.
