1.Transport of water and minerals

Thus, a plant absorbs water and minerals from soil through roots and transport it other parts like stem, leaves, flowers etc. It is through two kinds of elements of xylem tissue called, xylem vessels and tracheid that water and minerals move from roots of a plant to its leaves.

2.Photosynthesis is held in the leaf of a plant. In which synthesis organic material called ............. This food materials are transported by .......... tissue to all parts of the plant. The synthesised organic material is known as glucose.

3.Root hair cells

Plants absorb water from the soil by osmosis. They absorb mineral ions by active transport, against the concentration gradient. Root hair cells are adapted for taking up water and mineral ions by having a large surface area to increase the rate of absorption.

4.Xylem and Phloem tissues are present throughout the plant. They begin at the root and then move up to the stem, branches, and leaves. The xylem tissue transports water and minerals from the roots to the leaves whereas the phloem tissue transports food from the leaves to the other parts of the plant.

5.xylem

The vascular tissue for the transport of water and nutrients in the plant is called the xylem. The xylem forms a continuous network of channels that connects roots to the leaves through the stem and branches and thus transports water to the entire plant .
