Given : Points (-2,0) and (3,-4)

To Find : Plot the points  in the coordinate  plane.

Solution :

Point  (-2,0)

x = - 2

y = 0

x = - 2  Hence go 2 unit left of origin

y = 0  Hence point is on x axis

so  2 unit left of origin is point  (-2,0)

Point  (3,-4)

x =3

y = -4

x =3  Hence go 3 unit right of origin

y =-4  Hence go 4 unit below that

and mark point ( 3 , - 4)
