To Find :  Share of Each

Solution:

Share of a man, a woman and a boy in ratio  9:8:4

Assume that  their portions are 9x , 8x and 4x respectively

4 Men gets = 4 * 9x  = 36x  Rs

5 Women gets = 5 * 8x = 40x  Rs

6 Boys gets  = 6 * 4x  = 24x  Rs

Total = 36x + 40x + 24x  = 100x  Rs

100x = 425

=> x = 4.25

4 Men gets = 4 * 9x  = 36 * 4.25  =  153 Rs

5 Women gets = 5 * 8x = 40 * 4.25 = 170  Rs

6 Boys gets  = 6 * 4x  = 24 * 4.25 = 102    Rs
