given that,

• s2 = 30 knots / hour.

so,

→ Average speed = (2 * 15 * 30) / (15 + 30) = (2 * 15 * 30) / 45 = 20 knots / hour .

Hence, Average speed per hour for the whole journey is 20 knots .
