after 4 years their age will be of P= 5x + 4

and Q= 8x + 4

and after 4 years their age will become

2/3 then by cross multiplication

2×8x + 4 = 3×5x + 4

= 16x + 8 = 15x + 12

= 16x-!5x = 12-8

= x = 4 and

P = 5x = 5×4 = 20

and Q= 8x = 8×4= 32 ans....
