ii) In other words, though energy can occur in various forms but the sum of all forms of Energy  in the Universe remains constant.

iii) It is one of the fundamental principles of nature.  In universe, if there is an only an interchange between potential and kinetic energy.

  • Mechanical energy is of two kinds: Kinetic and Potential.
  • Total mechanical energy = kinetic energy (K) + potential energy (U).
  • i.e., K + U = constant ( If there are no frictional forces or loss of energy does not take place).
