Given :

Marked price = Rs 280

Discount = 20%

Profit = 12%

Find the Selling price :-

S.P = M.P - discount% of M.P

= 280 - 20% of 280

= 280 - 56

= 224

Find the cost price :-

C.P = (S.P × 100)/(100 + Profit)

= (224 × 100)/(100 + 12)

= 22400/112

= 200

Hence,

Cost Price = Rs 200..

Answer:

Given, marked price=2800

Discount=20% of 2800

=20/100×2800

=560

Selling price=(2800-560)=2240

Let the cost price be 100

profit=12% of 100=12

SP=(100+12)

=112

if the SP is 112,then CP=100

if the SP is 2240,then

CP=(100/112×2240)

=2000
