Answer-

1. Ratio of the ages of Ram and Mohan- 3:2

Sum of their ages- 3x + 2x

After 4 years, sum of their ages- 48

therefore, their ages-

(3x + 4) +(2x + 4)= 48

3x+2x+4+4=48

5x + 8 = 48

5x = 48-8

5x= 40

therefore, x= 40/5

                x = 8

2. Let the breadth be x

Length- 4 times breadth

therefore, length = 4x

Perimeter - 140 cm

Perimeter = 2(l+b) = 140

                = 2(4x + x) = 140

                =2(5x) = 140

                =10x  = 140

                = x= 140/10

               = x = 14

therefore, breadth = x = 14cm

                 length = 4x = 4*14 = 56cm

Hope this helped you

Answer:

56cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Perimeter of Rectangle =140cm

Ratio of sides =3:4, so let length=4x, breadth=3x

Perimeter of Rectangle =2(l+b)

∴2(4x+3x)=140

7x=70

x=10

∴length=40, breadth=30

∴ sides of rectangle =30cm,40cm

Diagonal of Rectangle = 1²+b² (by pythahoras theorem)

= 30² 40²

=2500²

=56cm
