ANSWER :-

let the parallel lines of trapezium be = 2x , 3x

height of trapezium = 16 cm

area of trapezium = 320 sq cm

area of trapezium = 1/2 × h × sum of // sides

1/2 × 16 × 2x + 3x = 320

8 ( 5x ) = 320

5x = 40

x = 8 cm

hence the // sides are

2 (8) and 3(8)

16 and 24 .. is answer

hope it helps uh ameya

Given :-

  • Ratio of length of parallel sides of a trapezium = 2:3
  • Distance between the parallel sides = 16 cm.
  • Area of the trapezium = 320 m²

To Find :-

  • Length of the parallel sides.

Solution :-

Let the parallel sides be 2x and 3x.

Area of the trapezium :-

➪  ½ × h × (Sum of parallel sides) = 320

➪  ½ × 16 × (2x + 3x) = 320

➪  ½ × 5x × 16 = 320

➪  5x × 8 = 320

➪  40x = 320

➪  x = 320/40

➪  x = 8

Therefore,

➲  First parallel side = 2x = 2 × 8

                                     = 16 cm.

➲  Second parallel side = 3x = 3 × 8

                                          = 24 cm.
