it is not by solving you can directly count the parts between the number which is our denominator that is 6(NOTE THAT THE NUMBER ITSELF A PART i.e. -1 IS ALSO A PART then start counting the part with the asked number or letter from 0 which is our numerator that is 3 in this question and we get our answer as -³/6 as it is on the negative side of 0 the sign became negative
