1-) Read the following and answer the questions



Cut a slice of apple and keep it exposed to air for some time. Do

the same with a slice of brinjal. Does the colour of the cut

surface change? The change of colour of the cut surface is

because of the formation of new substances due to the

chemical reactions that occur between air and the enzymes in

the cut surface of apple and brinjal.

the change is physical change in colour

this activity shows us that when the iron objects are exposed to air they react with oxygen and water to form rust on their surfaces .

materials required are iron object , presence of air
