college union election time the limited space available
in the canteen became even more vibrant as student
leaders and aspiring politicians who bunk their classes
thronged there and made their preparations for
campaign and strategies for defeating their opponents.
The Principal of the college regularly visits the canteen
to check the maintenance of hygiene and basic
amenities. However, her visits to canteen premises
during election season were for a different purpose.
She dispersed the crowd of leaders and sometimes
warns them of consequences if they continued to
disrupt peace in the canteen.​
