One of the most valuable treasure on earth is common sait But it can be found almost
every where. Everybody know that the sea water is salty. It is salty because there is salt in the soil, As rivers cut the way through the soil, they dissolve the salt and carry it down to sea. Imagine what a vast amount of salt must be taken to the sea in this way every year. Much of the sea water evaporates, but the salt is left behind. In some places great salt lake dried up leaving behind quantities of salt and people are engaged in gathering this together for sale. In other places salt is found beneath the surface
of the ground just as we found coal. Today salt is cheap as it is plentiful Many years ago, however it was expensive. In some places it was valuable that people gave salt when they wished to make someone a splendid present.
