In some places great salt lake dried up leaving behind quantities of salt and people are engaged in gathering this together for sale. In other places salt is found beneath the surface
of the ground just as we found coal. Today salt is cheap as it is plentiful Many years ago, however it was expensive. In some places it was valuable that people gave salt when they wished to make someone a splendid present.
