The industrial revolution took place in the 19th century since then, rampant.
exploitation of natural resources has taken place. This has been carried out by mining
beneath the earth's surface for coal, diamonds, gold etc. Pumping out of crude oil
from sea - beds and below the earth's surface, clearing of large forest areas for
industrial purpose and human settlement. All these activities of man have disturbed
the natural balance of life on earth.
Now there is the danger of complete exhaustion of our natural resources.
There is the danger of extinction of many an animal life. There is the danger of
flooding of the coastal cities and the beautiful islands of the world. Added to these,
there are dangers of complete pollution of our environment, water and the earth's
surface. Thus, now there is the urgent necessity to stop and prevent these unmindful
human activities. Otherwise, there is every danger of our survival here on earth.
