1. Read the following selection and give your own viewpoint. (15 points)
Less rain can mean less water for some places, while too much rain can cause
terrible flooding. More hot days can dry up crops, and make people and animals
sick. In some places, people will struggle to cope with the changing environment.
In other places, people may be able to successfully prepare for these changes. The
negative impacts of global climate change will be less severe overall if people
reduce the amount of greenhouse gases were putting into the atmosphere and
worse if we continue producing these gases at current or faster rates.
1. What have you learn from the selection you have read?
2. Who are the most affecteal from these changes?
3. As a student, how can you contribute to lessen the effect of these changes?

1. Here, we have learnt that too less or too much rain, both can be a cause for problems that will arise when there is any such situation.

2. We, people are the most affecteal from these changes.

3. As students, we can take simple steps to reduce the greenhouse gases being released into the atmosphere, i.e., to reduce global warming by:

• reducing, reusing and recycling

• drive less

• use less heat and air conditioning

• use the "off" switch when not in use

• plant a tree or two.
