Read this story.
It was raining. Gopal was shivering with cold
and starving with hunger. His eyes were full of
sleep. They showed his tiredness. A man with
an umbrella came into the bus shelter where
Gopal was waiting for the rain to stop. When
the man saw Gopal, he said with gentleness,
“You can have my umbrella .
“But how do I return it?” Gopal asked in
astonishment.
The man smiled and said, “You don't have to return it to me. It isn't mine. A
stranger gave it to me. He told me to pass it to someone after using it." Gopa
thanked the man for his kindness.
“Don't forget to pass it on to someone else who needs it,” said the man.
Gopal reached home dry. Outside his gate he saw an old, weak woman, walking
in the rain. He offered the umbrella to her. She also showed her surprise.
