To plot the numbers  on number line.

Find the equivalent values of  by long division method,  

We get the values as  

=2.449

= 2.645

= 2.828

Since all the given numbers lie between 2 and 3, they have to be plotted between 2 and 3,

=2.449, it lies before 2.5,

= 2.645 it lies after 2.5

= 2.828, it lies after
