Dark-coloured clothes absorb more heat than white or light-coloured clothes and make us feel warmer than necessary. But, white or light-coloured clothes keep us cool even in summers. Also, cotton clothes absorb more sweat than synthetic clothes and when the sweat evaporates, it leaves a cooling sensation behind (Cooling effect of Evaporation).
