Given total marks = 80

To find the percentage, we have to multiply the quantity by whole quantity with 100

⇒ Percentage of marks Rohit got = 45 x 100/80

⇒ 45 x 10 / 8

⇒ 450 / 8

⇒ 56.25 %

∴ Percentage of marks obtained by Rohit = 56.25%

Given percentage of boys in a school = 45%

Given total no.of students in the school = 880

No.of girls = ?

If 45% of the total students in the school are boys, then, 55% of the total students in the school are girls for sure ( 100% - 45% = 55%)

⇒ 55% of 880 total students are girls

⇒ 55% x 880

⇒ 55 x 880 / 100

⇒ 55 x 88 / 10

⇒ 4840 / 10

⇒ 484

∴ There are 484 number of girls in the school
