(a-b)²+(a+b)²=2(a²+b²)

that implies (1-secx)²+(1+secx)²=2(1²+sec²x)=2tan²x

since 1+sec²x=tan²x

Answer: 2(1+sec^2) at the most.

Step by step: ◆(1-sec x)^2+(1+sec x)^2

◆ 1+sec^2 x-2 sec x + 1+2sec x+ sec^2 x

◆ 2+2 sec^2 x ( 2 sec x and -2 sec x will get cancelled).
