We knkw that both the chromosomes in female's are 'X', and they dont have a 'Y' chromosome. But in male's they have both 'X' and 'Y'. So we can clearly justify that no matter what chromosome is sent to the female body, the gender of the baby is inherited from the male [father] since they have both 'X' and 'Y' chromosomes.
