Answer:

1. 2 -5/6 Answer= 1 1/6 = 7/6

2. Using mean method

Let the rational number be R1

R1 =1/2 (-2/3 + 1/4 )

LCM = 12

= 1/2(-8+3/12)

=1/2×-5/12

Answer = -5/24

3.(x-y) = (3/4-4/3)

= (9/12-16/12)

= -7/12

(x+y) = (9/12+16/12)

= 25/12

(x-y)÷(x+y) = -7/12 ÷ 25/12

= -7/12×12/25

Answer = -7/25

4. Additive inverse of 11/18 = -11/18

=6/11×-11/18

= -6/18 = -1/3

Answer = -1/3
