1. Simplify the expressions and find their values, if x is equal to 2:
(i) x + 7 + 4 (x - 5)
(ii) 3(x + 2) + 5x - 7
(iii) 6x + 5(x - 2)
(iv) 4(2r - 1) + 3x + 11​

Answer:

i) x=2+7+4(2-5)

13-3=10

ii) 3(2+2)+5×2-7=3×4+10 -7is 15

iii) 6×2+5(2-2)=12+5×0 is 0

iv) 4(2r-1)+3×2+11=8r-1+6 is 8r+5 (8r+5are unlike terms so,the answer remains 8r+5)

(i)- 2+7+4*2-5

   2+7+12=21

(ii)- 3(2+2)+5*2-7

   12+3=15

(iii)- 6*2+5(2-2)

     12+5=17

(iv)- 4(2*2-1)+3*2+11

       12+17=29
