Answer:

to prove : √(1-sinA) ÷ √(1+sinA) = secA - tanA

proof :

multiplying denominator and numerator by √(1-sinA) for rationalising denominator,

⇒ √(1-sinA)(1-sinA) ÷ √(1+sinA)(1-sinA)

√a² = a

⇒(1-sinA) / √(1+sinA)(1-sinA)

(x+y)(x-y) = x²-y²

⇒ (1-sinA) / √(1² - sin²A)

⇒ (1-sinA) / √(1 - sin²A)

cos²A + sin²A = 1

cos²A = 1 - sin²A

(1-sinA) / √(cos²A)

⇒  (1-sinA) / cosA

⇒ (1/cosA) - (sinA/cosA)

secA - tanA

hence, proved.
