4 x + 3 y = 5.......(2)

multiply equation (1) by 4 and equation (2) by 3 and subtract equation 2 from 1, we get

12x - 16y = 40

12x + 9y = 15

y = 25/- 25

y = -1

substitute the value of y in equation 2

3 x - 4 x -1 = 10

3x + 4 = 10

3x = 10 - 4

3 x = 6

x = 6 / 3

x = 3

therefore we get X = 3 and y = - 1

hence the two lines will meet at the point (3, - 1)
