x + y = 5......1 \\ 2x - 3y = 4........2 \\  \\ from \: 1 \\ x = 5 - y....3 \\ put \: it \: in \: 2 \\ 2(5 - y) - 3y = 4 \\ 10 - 2y - 3y = 4 \\ 5y = 4 \\ y = 4 \div 5 \\ from \: 1 \\ x = 5 - 4 \div 5 \\ x = 21 \div 5
