Elimination Method:

x+y=5................... (1)

2x-3y=4.................(2)

Multiplying equation (1) with 3,

3x+3y=15................(3)

Adding equations (2) and (3) we get,

5x=19

x=19/5 and y=6/5

Therefore, (19/5, 6/5) are the roots of given equation.

Substitution Method:

x+y=5............ (1)

2x-3y=4..........(2)

Now, x+y=5

So, x=5-y......... (3)

Substituting the value of x in (2) we get,

2(5-y) -3y=4........ (2)

10-2y-3y=4

10-5y=4

10-4=5y

6=5y

y=6/5

Now, substituting the value of y in (1)

x+y=5...... ((1)

x+6/5=5

x=5-6/5

x=25-6/5

x=19/5

Therefore, (19/5, 6/5) are the roots of given equation.
