Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

4x + 3y = 11; 3x + 4y = 10.

To find:-

Solve the following simultaneous equations :

4x + 3y = 11; 3x + 4y = 10.

Solution:-

Given pair of linear equations are

4x + 3y = 11-----(1)

3x + 4y = 10----(2)

Adding both (1)&(2)

4x +3y = 11

3x + 4y =10

(+)

__________

7x +7y =21

_________

=>7x +7y=21

=>7(x + y)=21

=>x + y =21/7

x + y = 3------(3)

On subtracting (2) from (1)

4x +3y =11

3x +4y =10

(-)

_________

x -y = 1-----(4)

_________

on adding (3)&(4)

x + y =3

x -y =1

(+)

_______

2x +0 = 4

_______

=>2x=4

=>x =4/2

=>x =2

Substituting the value of x in (3) then

=>2 + y =3

=>y = 3-2

=>y=1

x=2 and y=1

Answer:-

The solution for the given problem is (2,1)
