Answer:

Here,

a = 4 ,

b = - 2 ,

c = - 6

Using Shridhara Charya formula -

=\dfrac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}\\\\\\=\dfrac{-(-2)\pm\sqrt{(-2)^2-4(4)(-6)}}{2(4)}\\\\\\=\dfrac{2\pm\sqrt{4+96}}{8}\\\\\\=\dfrac{2\pm10}}{8}\\\\\\=\dfrac{3}{2} or - 1

Required values are 3/2 and - 1.

Answer :

Given : \tt{\sqrt{4{x}^{2}-2x-6}}

Here,

  • a = 4
  • b = -2
  • c = -6

We know that, Shree Dhara charya formula : \tt{\dfrac{-b\pm\sqrt{{b}^{2}-4ac}}{2a}}

Using this formula to find the value of x.

\sf{=\dfrac{-(-2)\pm\sqrt{{(-2)}^{2}-4\times 4 \times (-6)}}{2\times 4}}

\sf{=\dfrac{2\pm\sqrt{4-(-96)}}{8}}

\sf{=\dfrac{2\pm\sqrt{4+96}}{8}}

\sf{=\dfrac{2\pm\sqrt{100}}{8}}

\sf{=\dfrac{2+\sqrt{100}}{8}\:OR\:\dfrac{2-\sqrt{100}}{8}}

\sf{=\dfrac{2+10}{8}\:OR\:\dfrac{2-10}{8}}

\sf{=\dfrac{12}{8}\:OR\:\dfrac{(-8)}{8}}

\bf\underline{=\dfrac{3}{2}\:OR\:(-1)}

Hence, Roots = 3/2 and -1.
