photosynthesis help to make good in plants , and weathering is the process by which rocks are broken down into small particles by the help of Sun's heat flow and microorganism different types of weathering are physical weathering chemical weathering

1)Cellular respiration and photosynthesis are important parts of the carbon cycle. The carbon cycle is the pathways through which carbon is recycled in the biosphere. While cellular respiration releases carbon dioxide into the environment, photosynthesis pulls carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.

2)Combustion, respiration and in the formation of oxides of nitrogen.

3)Carbon monoxide and methane gas.

4)Weathering is the breaking down of rocks, soil, and minerals as well as wood and artificial materials through contact with the Earth's atmosphere, water, and biological organisms. The three major ways weathering happens include chemical, physical and mechanical weathering.

5)(i) Nitrogen fixing bacteria, e.g., Rhizobium, Azotobacter.

(ii) Bacteria which convert complex nitrogenous organic compounds (proteins) into , ammonia, e.g., Actinomyces.

(iii) Nitrifying bacteria which converts ammonia into nitrates, e.g., Nitrosomonas and nitro- bacter.

(iv) Denitrifying bacteria, e.g., Pseudomonas.

6)The three ways by which CO2 is returned back into atmosphere are: (i) By the decomposition of dead organic matter. (ii) As the product of respiration by both plants and animals. (iii) As the gaseous waste formed by the combustion of fuels like coal, wood, petrol and gaseous fuels.

7)Smog = smoke + fog.

Presence of smog indicates that there is a lot of smoke present in the air i.e the air is polluted with gaseous pollutants as well as particulate matter.
