  • 1. So the motion is uniformly accelerated and also it is uniformly retarded.
  • 2. Displacement of the particle is area = 1/2 .b. h = 1/2 x 6 x 2 = 6 m
  • 3. No the particle does not change its direction of motion.
  • 4. We need to compare the distance travelled by the particle.
  • So distance travelled by the particle from 0 to 4 secs will be  
  •                                 1/2 x 4 x 2  
  •                                     = 4 m
  • Distance travelled by the particle from 4 to 6 secs will be
  •                                 1/2 x 2 x 2
  •                                       = 2 m
  • Comparing we get 4 : 2  
  •                         Or 2 : 1
