SOLIDS :-

In solids the particles are tightly packed with each other, there is very less space between the particles of solids. solids are rigid in nature .

Example:- metal, plastic, wood etc.

LIQUIDS:-

In liquids the intermolecular space is little bit more than solids . liquid has fixed volume but no fixed shape, it takes the shape of the container in which it is kept.

Example:- water, milk , cold drink etc.
